Yamaha synthetic key oil is a special proprietary blend designed for use on woodwind key rods and pivot points, with a corrosion inhibitor that gives added protection to the metal over time. Drop a small amount of Key Oil into the gap at key pivot points. Operate the key a few times to distribute the oil, then wipe off any excess using gauze or tone hole cleaner.
